The playoff battle between the Canadiens and Bruins has been incredibly close and exciting to watch. It’s a heated rivalry on and off the ice. That is exactly why an elementary school in Montreal canceled their “Jersey Day”. They had planned a day for kids to wear their favourite jerseys in the hope of also supporting the Canadiens. That plan was canceled for fear one or two Bruins fans supporting their team may lead to trouble.
One father, a die hard Bruins fan, raised his 11 year old daughter to love them as well. The last jersey day she was asked to remove her Bruins shirt for fear of inciting trouble.
Going too far? Or a smart move?
