British singer Sarah Brightman is set to begin training this year for a 2015 flight to the International Space Station, where she hopes to become the first professional musician to sing from space.
In order to do so, she will have to beat Lady Gaga, who has similar plans:, although Gaga plans to perform one song in space ion a Virgin Galactic flight.
Brightman is payin $52 million for her 10 day stay aboard the station. In case you’re wondering where she got the money, she was once married to Andrew Lloyd Webber, creator of Cats and Phantom of the Opera, who coughed up a furball when they split. Fo those of us who don’t have the means to sing in space, there’s always the shower.
