Chris Bundas –
It has the feel of ‘A Few Good Men” with an RDJ modern day touch… I’m intrigued.
Robert Downey Jr. and his wife, Susan Downey, produced ‘The Judge,’ a drama about a lawyer (Downey) who returns home for his mother’s funeral and ends up defending his father (Robert Duvall,) — who he does not get along with and is a former judge — on a murder rap.
Downey wrote this about the film on Facebook: “Susan and I are delighted that this wound up being the first movie produced through our Team Downey production company at Warner Bros. It’s a drama with lots of heart and wit. Might be the best thing I’ve been part of yet … beginner’s luck, perhaps.”
The film also stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Vera Farmiga and Billy Bob Thornton, and is directed by David Dobkin (‘Wedding Crashers.’) ‘The Judge’ is set to be released Oct. 10.
