‘The Cube’: Google’s latest piece of technological advancement is trying to change the way we listen to and watch music videos.
The Cube is practically a box that is described as an “experimental platform for interactive storytelling. It appears on your computer or smartphone’s screen and can be manipulated left, right, up and down.
On each side of the virtual cube is a screen showing a different video and playing different audio. Manipulating it to show another of the cube’s faces brings that new sound and sight on that side front and center.
As you can tilt the cube in any direction, you are able to have more than one side exposed at any one time, playing videos simultaneously.
Google has teamed up with Australian group ‘The Presets’ to show what the Cube can do. The Cube is free to play with, but it will only run with the latest version of Google’s Chrome browser.
