It sounds crazy but I can relate to this poor guy. A Seattle man caused $60,000 in damage to his rental home Tuesday night when he attempted to kill a spider using a can of spray paint and a lighter. A shoe probably would have been sufficient but maybe it was a really big spider and he didn’t want to see the thing splat all over.
The 24-year-old, who lived in the house with his mother, directed the flames at the spider on the wall and you can only imagine how it went from there. Fire plus drywall equals a really big fire.
The man, who has not been named, tried to douse the flames with water but it soon spread to the attic. Nobody was hurt and there is no word on the spider.
