Back in the spring (probably in May), Brian MAY confirmed that he and drummer Roger Taylor were working on a Queen project tentatively titled ‘Queen Forever’ and will likely be released by Christmas. They had to start from scratch which meant going through unfinished songs and long forgotten ideas, “Knowing how it would have happened if we’d finished the songs, I can sit there and make it happen with modern technology. It’s quite emotional. It’s the big big Queen ballads and the big big EPIC sound surrounding Freddie’s vocals which were recorded in the 80’s. Recently it was revealed William Orbit who’s produced a bunch of pop artists over the years including Michael Jackson would produce this new Queen project and that three unreleased songs done during the Thriller sessions are being worked on but wouldn’t say which one’s would be included on the actual album. One of the songs that actually appeared on a Jackson’s album called “State Of Shock” were to have featured Freddy Mercury’s vocals with Michael but it was re-recorded with Mick Jagger. The actual demo for State of Shock can be heard below in it’s demo form.
