Maureen Holloway –
We begin this fall term with naked pictures of famous people everywhere. Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, Ariana Grande, all naked as the day they were born – naked as Jaybirds, really, although why Jaybirds are more naked than any other bird is a factoid I don’t entirely understand – ANYWAY. PICTURES OF THESE ladies and many others have apparently been leaked online after a massive hacking scheme. The pics first appeared on 4chan and – hang on, where’s everybody going? I haven’t finished yet.
Various celebs have responded in various ways. Jennifer Lawrence’s people say it’s an outrageous violation of her privacy. Which means they’re probably authentic. Others have said “Pictures? What pictures?”.
So here’s the deal, giblets. Auntie Mo wants to know: if these famous ladies have had their private pictures of their privates made public, hacked from Apple’s ICloud as it were, what’s stopping your home movies from making the big time?
Christopher Chaney, a hacker who stole and leaked photos of Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson back in 2012 is currently serving a 10 year prison sentence.
Moral of the story: don’t be a hacker, and don’t put your nudes in the Cloud.
