While most of Hollywood is in town, gracing Toronto with their star studded presence, not only are we receiving their glamour, but we’re also now starting to taste their political opinions.
American filmmaker Michael Moore said Sunday it is time for Toronto to elect a different mayor.
While speaking of Rob Ford’s “train wreck “ as mayor with the Toronto Sun, Moore said “It’s funny for a while, and then it wasn’t funny. And now it’s really NOT funny! Okay, we got the joke. Now it’s got to be over!”
When asked if he were a Toronto resident, would he ever vote for Ford himself, Moore was quick to answer: “Oh God, no! No!”
Moore also said he is surprised that Ford was even elected in the first place. “The bigger question should be: why, in the first place, did Toronto elect someone from the wrong party? Someone who is more conservative. This is not a conservative town. This is a liberal, progressive-minded town. It’s not a town that lives in the past. So it’s odd.”
