Maroon 5’s new “Animals” music video is getting a lot of heat from sexual assault support groups, saying the band is trivializing abuse against women.
The video features Adam Levine — the front man of Maroon 5 — as an obsessed butcher in a meat locker fondling animal carcasses.
He sings the line “Baby, I’m preying on you tonight/Hunt you down eat you alive/Just like animals,” while stalking a woman who is played by his wife Behati Prinsloo.
Condemning the video, the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN) say it’s “a dangerous depiction of a stalker’s fantasy.”
“No one should ever confuse the criminal act of stalking with romance,” said Katherine Hull Fliflet, RAINN’s vice-president of communications.

WARNING: The following video contains images of a violent and sexual nature
Do you think this video celebrates sexual violence or is it simply just a mini movie no different from things we see in the theater? Should this video be pulled for being inappropriate?
