Brad Pitt is back in familiar territory today with the opening of “Fury”, which appears to be a good old fashioned war movie.
Pitt plays a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy who commands a Sherman tank and a crew of five, including a rookie played by Shia LeBeouf, and takes it behind enemy lines in Nazi Germany.
He then throws Shia LeBeouf at them and then runs away. That’s what I would do, anyway.
In other manly movie news, Ryan Gosling is one of the few A-list Hollywood actors without a superhero franchise to his name, but that may change.
He is in talks with Marvel Studios to play Dr. Strange, the former neurosurgeon who protects the earth with his mystical powers.
A lot of people have been circling the part: Joaquin Phoenix, Jared Leto, Justin Theroux, Ethan Hawke and Keanu Reeves, among others.
Too weird, too pretty, too old, too wispy, or too without facial expression.
