Anybody who finishes a marathon or a half marathon is impressive but running that marathon AND knitting a scarf at the same time, that is talent. A Kansas City, Missouri, man did just that during a marathon Saturday. David Babcock combined running and knitting at the Kansas City Marathon.
Last year Babcock set the world record for knitting the longest scarf while running in a marathon — 12 feet, one and three-fourths inches long. This year Babcock did finger knitting to prepare for the upcoming New York City Marathon. He switched to finger knitting because security is tight and he wouldn’t be able to bring needles and hooks.
