A movie that hasn’t been released at all yet is already breaking records: “Interstellar”.
It doesn’t open until Nov. 7th, but is has already pulled in more than 50 million in advance ticket sales.
It’s directed by Christopher Nolan, written by his brother Jonathan Nolan.
We don’t know much about it, but it stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as a team of explorers who venture into space to see if mankind has a future beyond this galaxy.
If mankind does, I’d say McConaughey’s character is a lucky man.
Turning to the box office, which is not quite as entertaining or salacious, Ouija scared up 20 million, although it’s supposed to be Godawful:
followed Keanu Reeve’s thriller John Wick:
Fury still rolling over the competition in third place, followed by Gone Girl (now at over 124 million) and the Book of Life.
Keep an eye on Bill Murray’s St Vincent and Michael Keaton’s Birdman, out in limited release and getting raves.
