One of the latest viral video features a woman taking a 10-hour walk through the streets of New York City, recording the reactions of men around her.
There were over 100 instances of verbal harassment in her 10-hour walk, not including winks and whistles, as she remains silent.
Hollaback, an anti-street harassment organization, recently teamed up with the video marketing agency Rob Bliss Creative to show what women have to deal with when walking down the street alone.
But how about what it’s like for a man to walk down the street alone? What about a white man?
Since the anti-harassment video’s viral release, Funny Or Die has come up with a parody video for men:
Obviously the parody video has been exaggerated, but it would be interesting for someone to perform a real experiment with a man so we really find out the vastly different experiences men and women have.
Is catcalling ever appropriate? Is it harassment, or just good-natured fun?
