The new TV streaming service Shomi will be launching in a beta for Shaw and Rogers customers today.
The Canadian Netflix rival will be available online, through mobile devices and set-top boxes with the rollout coming to Xbox 360 and Chromecast in the future.
Shomi will offer more than 1,200 hours of content of both films and television, but will focus on TV shows.
The service costs a dollar more than Netflix, but Rogers and Shaw customers who sign up for the beta will get a 30-day free trial.
Will you be giving Shomi a try or are you completely uninterested? Do you think it can compete with Netflix?
