In Minnesota, snow days are now a thing of the past!
Private schools and increasingly some public schools are starting to use flexible technology like laptops & iPads to work around weather, meeting school mandates without make up days.
Last winter caused five school day closures, pushing the end of the school year into the summer.
While the initial reaction of disappointment was to be expected, most students would rather miss out on a day of sledding rather than lose days of their summer.
Given that Toronto experiences similar weather to that of Minnesota, should we implement a protocol like this instead of giving kids snow days?
