It’s usually a good sign you’ve got enough Christmas lights on and around the house when you need to turn them off in order to use the toaster.
This story out of the U.K. is of 26 year old Wayne Skinner who along with his parents live in a small 2 bedroom semi-detached home. Every year he goes all out to put on a Christmas light display where he also takes donations for the local air ambulance.
He has so many lights he’s afraid to turn any electric appliance on for fear the power will blow “We don’t boil the kettle or put the cooker on while we’ve got the lights on because it’s an old house and an old supply, and we don’t like putting too much power on it. So we boil the kettle, pour it in a flask and have a flask of hot water while the lights are on.”
That’s a pretty good sign you’ve got enough. Britain’s version of Griswold.
