Burger King Employee Finds $100,000 Left In Restaurant, Hands It In
At a Burger King in San Jose, an assistant manager found a backpack filled with cash sitting in a booth.
About $100,000, but so far, no one has come forward to claim the sack of money.
The assistant manager said she spotted the backpack early Wednesday. She said when it was still sitting there around 3pm that afternoon when she decide to call the owner of the resturant.
When the owner arrived, he took the bag to the back and opened it trying to find some identification.
Instead, he found stacks of $100 bills, marijuana, candy and a bank slip.
”Wow! Today’s my birthday, this is my birthday gift,” Altaf Chaus, the owner told reporters.
But Chaus was just joking.
Chaus said he worked two jobs for 15 years to buy his restaurant and did not consider keeping the money
Police later came to the restaurant and are now working with the bank to find the bag’s owner.
What would you do in this situation? Would you have handed the money in?
