Gas Prices Fall To $1.07/L On Average Around GTA
In the wake of a decision by OPEC members to keep oil production at current levels, despite a recent drop in prices, gas is getting cheaper by the day.
A slight drop at stations around the GTA was seen early Wednesday morning, with Thursday morning bringing more welcome news.
Dan McTeague, senior petroleum expert with Gas Buddy, said the price would drop another 2 cents at midnight, bringing the average price per liter to $1.07, and he was right.
The last time figures were that low was in late November, 2010.
McTeague says the possibility of prices around $1.04 aren’t out of the question by the weekend, however explains that with retail margins and the HST, it would take oil dropping to below $60 a barrel to hit the $1.00/liter mark.
