This seems ridiculous. I honestly thought it was a joke by someone trying to incite anger on Facebook when I saw someone post about some cities in Canada actually banning tobogganing. It’s true though. The reason being it can be dangerous and there are fears of lawsuits if someone is severely injured.
Some cities in Canada have full on bans of tobogganing on city property, Hamilton is one of them. Ottawa is one of the cities in the country who has bylaws that restrict tobogganing to certain hills.
Have you heard of any restrictions on the hills in your neighbourhood? What do you think?
