Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top has released a single with singer-songwriter Tim Montana called “Weed and Whiskey”.
Gibbons plays as a guest on the track, and said that his fondness for the song started back when Tim used to open for ZZ Top. Tim would play “Weed and Whiskey” during the opening and by the third verse the crowd would be singing along too, even though he doesn’t have a record out. It was just THAT catchy!
You can listen to “Weed and Whiskey” below! What do you think?
Tim also said “A lot of people assume that I’m Billy’s son and we’re not going to let the truth get in the way of a good story,” and that “[Gibbons] might have been traveling through Montana in the mid-Eighties, we’re not sure.”
