Patton Oswalt plays Rob Ford-inspired character on Battle Creek
It was only a matter of time before former Mayor Rob Ford’s story was included in a television series. His shameful exploits were more like something out of a reality TV series than the real life story of a major-city mayor.
Vince Gilligan’s (creator of Breaking Bad) new series “Battle Creek” features a Rob Ford inspired character who will debut in episode six of the series. Played by comedian Patton Oswalt, the character is a drug-addled mayor with an older brother who micromanages his career, and a penchant for parties and drugs that always gets him in a mess of trouble.
The CBS/Global series will star Josh Duhamel (“Transformers,” “Las Vegas”) and Dean Winters (“30 Rock,” “Oz”) as the two lead, mismatched police officers who butt heads over just about anything.
The series will also feature Kal Penn (“House,” “24”) and Janet McTeer (“Damages,” “Albert Nobbs”).
