Conservative MPP's bill looks to ease grip of Beer Store, LCBO
A provincial Conservative is backing the Craft Beer business under a new private members bill to allow Craft brewers to possibly get their own retail stores.
The bill, which was introduced on Thursday, would allow the Craft brewers to have their own outlets that sell each other`s products.
Ontario PC MPP Todd Smith’s ‘Raise a Glass to Ontario Act’ calls for changes with Ontario’s liquor law, which would allow these stores to come into effect.
The proposed change would also apply to Ontario wineries and distilleries, who right now may only sell their own products on their premises.
