Mo's Digital Last Word: F.U.
We don’t know how many people spent the weekend binge watching HOUSE OF CARDS, because Netflix does not reveal the viewership of any of its series.
Judging from the relative lack of traffic on the roads, I’d say more than a few people tuned into to track the continuing story of Frank Underwood and his merry band of scallywags.
It’s not like people were going to the movies…
Will Smith’s latest heist film Focus opened in first place, but made only 19.1 million, which is the lowest take for a Will Smith movie since 2008.
Kingsman: The Secret Service is in second place, followed by SpongeBob, and looky down there: It’s Fifty Shades of Grey, which brought in 10.9 million.
I think it’s safe to say anyone who is going to see it in the theatres has gone and done it.
According to The Economist, 50 Shades has done particularly well in the states that have the most religious population – where they like to tie you up with your bible belt.
