Poll: Tory's support at 62%, while 48% support city budget
Torontonians are still content with John Tory as mayor after more than 100 days in office.
A Forum Research poll of 520 respondents released Wednesday shows the city hasn’t turned on Mayor John Tory yet. Of those polled 72% approve of the job John Tory has done so far.
The same grouping of people also believe that the city construction projects won’t be completed on time and that Toronto should zone areas for medical marijuana licensing.
59% of those polled thought Mississauga is right to make similar legislation.
A new Mainstreet Technologies poll released today also regarding Mayor John Tory says 48% of Torontonians approve of the budget that was passed. 23% of Torontonians disapprove of it.
The poll also asked whether Torontonians approve of the way John Tory is handling his job as mayor. 62% say they approve, 26% disapprove and 12% are unsure.
What has Mayor Tory done to obtain such a high approval rating? Has he proven to be a better mayor than Rob Ford?
