The story goes this couple went to a Chili’s in upstate New York; it was busy and the couple complained to their server their broccoli was undercooked, they hadn’t received their chips etc. He seemed annoyed and they claim they were patient considering it was so busy. When they asked him to refill their to-go cups they could tell he wasn’t happy. After having a few sips the lid of the husband’s drink popped off and there was a big ole loogie floating on top.
They took a photo went back to the restaurant where the manager apologized, gave them coupons, offered a refund but refused to fire the server. Not happy with this the couple called the cops. A DNA test was done(for real) and it was a match.
The server was charged and convicted of disorderly conduct, given a one year conditional discharge and $125 surcharge.. He no longer works there but did for three months after this incident.
The couple is now suing due to “psychological trauma” suffered not knowing if they had contracted hepatitis.
