CHEATING SITE ASHLEY MADISON HACKED, ATTACKERS DEMAND SHUTDOWN OF SITE
Hackers have been threatening to expose the information of 37 million clients on the cheating/dating website Ashley Madison. Included in those files would be naked pictures and the sexual fantasies of all its members. The hackers are pressing for the site to completely shut down along with Avid Life Media’s sugar-daddy site “Established Men.” The Impact Team claims that it had taken over Avid Media systems such as customer databases, codes, and financial records and exchanged emails.
CUBA & U.S.A. RESTORE DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS
After more than 50 years, The United States and Cuba have formally restored diplomatic relations. The diplomatic missions of each country were upgraded to embassies at midnight Eastern Time. The Cuban flag was raised in the lobby of the U.S State department just after midnight. The Stars and Stripes will not fly in Cuba just yet however, as the U.S Interest Section in Havana are set to wait until August for a formal ceremony which it’s expected will be presided over by U.S Secretary of State John Kerry.
NEW UNIVERSAL CHILD CARE BENEFIT PAYMENTS OUT TODAY
On Monday, the federal government’s enhancements to the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) will be going into effect. The UCCB is a taxable benefit that applies to families with children under the age of 18. It was created by the Conservative’s after they cancelled daycare agreements in 2006. The UCCB previously provided families with $100 a month for every child under 6. The expansion will provide families with children under 5 an additional $60 per child. Families with children ages 6-17 will get $60 per child as well. The increase would give families with children under 6 $1,920 per child annually, and $720 per child annually. NDP LEADER THOMAS MUCLAIR BEGINS CAMPAIGN TOUR IN ONTARIO
The federal election isn’t until October but Tom Mulcair is starting his campaign in crucial battleground of Ontario starting tomorrow. The 8 day tour is designed to showcase the NDP’s team, policies and momentum in Ontario. Campaign stops beings Monday in Toronto then from there to Oshawa, Mississauga, Scarborough Hamilton, Cambridge, Stratford, Chatham, Windsor, London, Brampton and many more places. He’ll also be joining the Jeff MacArthur show tomorrow when he stops in Toronto.
TRUDEAU ATTACKS HARPER ON ECONOMY
Justin Trudeau says Prime Minister Stephen Harper doesn’t know what to do about Canada’s economy. The Liberal leader spoke at a meeting in Markham on Sunday where he was answering questions about the economic halt and a number of other topics. Trudeau elaborated on his thoughts of Harper’s decreasing fortitude among Canadians before the forthcoming federal election this fall. The crowd showed a strong amount of support for Trudeau in the pre-campaign Q & A session. Trudeau also stated that he will not run a deficit if elected as Prime Minister in October.
