Another Shooting In The City Leaves 1 Dead
It was just a few days ago when the city’s top cop called Toronto the safest urban city in North America – yet another day and another deadly shooting. A man was gunned down near Dundas and Sherbourne sometime around midnight and police are still on the hunt for a shooter. This is the city’s 16th gun-related death so far this year, coming after Police Chief Mark Saunders recently pointed out a near 60% spike in gun related violence this year.
Baby Freed From Hotel Safe In Niagara Falls, Parents Sought By Police
You can’t make this stuff up… Police in Niagara are looking for an American couple after staff at a hotel there said they found a baby locked inside of a room safe. Police say the baby’s parents actually alerted the hotel about the incident and a maintenance worker freed the child, allowing the family to leave before police arrived. Investigators say the hotel room was registered to a person from Brooklyn, who was driving a grey passenger van with a New Jersey licence plate.
