These days, you can’t talk about what happened on your favourite TV the night before show for fear of spoiling it for other people who just weren’t as committed as you. Gone are the days where we can wonder who shot J.R., or freak out about Rita on Dexter, or Omar on The Wire, or even The Red Wedding in Game of Thrones – oh wait. I’m sorry – is that too soon for some people? In any case, a bad thing happened to a nice person on a very popular show last night, and I cried. On top of the Jays loss Friday night, it was a pretty tough weekend.
Even if you don’t think Saturday Night Live is funny anymore, you may still want to tune in November 21st, because Matthew McConaughey will be the host, and Adele will be the musical guest. McConaughey has not hosted since 2003, and Adele last appeared in 2008, so they have some catching up to do. Between now and then, Donald Trump and Elizabeth Banks will host, so set your PVR’s accordingly.
Prince has opened a new Instagram account, and called it ‘Princestagram.’ Within a few hours of launching the account, he amassed about 50,000 followers, all to promote his latest album Hit’nRun, which was released on Tidal this month – this is all very confusing for people who thought he was Prince Harry.
Today’s fun couple has a bit of a yuck factor, but nonetheless. Reptilian media mogul Rupert Murdoch, who is 84, is officially dating former supermodel Jerry Hall, onetime Mrs. Mick Jagger, who is 59. Murdoch has a longtime history of dating and marrying women much much younger than he is, so the 25 years between him and Jerry is nothing, and he will probably die soon, but if you’re Jerry Hall, probably not soon enough.
