Is this what the rock industry has come to? Bands, well known, established, bands having to crowdfund their next recording?
Foghat is doing just that. They’re looking to get their fans to financially support their next album with a PledgeMusic drive and in return will offer up some incentives.
Fans who give at or above the $300 level will be eligible to sing back up on a new version of “Slow Ride” that Foghat is recording in celebration of the song’s 40th anniversary. Thos who donate could also have drummer Roger Earl cook a meal for them or read a bedtime story to their child. Other incentives include a guitar lesson with Bryan Bassett and the chance to join Foghat on stage. For those with deep pockets a once-in-a-lifetime private concert at their home.
