Charlie Sheen’s revelation that he is HIV positive may have an unexpected backlash. Sheen came forward with the news this week, presumably to stop blackmailers from shaking him down, but now super lawyer Gloria Allread is considering a class action lawsuit against him. Alread said she has been contacted by a number of women who claim to have had unprotected sex with Sheen, not knowing about his disease. Sheen insisted that he told every woman he was with since 2011. A source directly connected with Sheen says in the last 2 years, Sheen has had at least 200 partners, so maybe he should have put out a newsletter
Not one, not two, but three movies are in the works about the legendary tennis match between Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King. The most high profile is probably “Battle of the Sexes”, which has Steve Carrell cast as Riggs, and now Emma Stone on tap to play Billy Jean. The competition between King and Riggs captured the zeitgeist back in 1973, when at 29, the No. 2 ranked King beat the 55-year-old retired former Wimbledon champion Riggs.
Though they may be consciously uncoupled, Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow are still making music together – literally. Martin has revealed that he gave his ex-wife a spot on Coldplay’s new album. Goopy, as you may recall, sang a bunch of times on Glee, has some vocals on a song called “Everglow,” which is apparently a “ballad about a relationship’s enduring spark”. God help us. In other Gwyneth news, she is opening a pop up store in New York in time for the Christmas season, featuring items from her Goop website, including 10,000 leather jackets, a pair of $55,000 Sennheiser ear phones, a $1500 vintage ball and chain. Chris probably thinks of HER as a vintage ball and chain.
