Canadians are crazy about hockey – both to watch and the play. This is an absolute fact, no contest, but Canadians are now even crazier about playing hockey on a roof – the roof of a downtown office building at 120 Adelaide Street West. It’s the brainchild of the people at Molson. Yes, beer and hockey together. On a roof – how much closer can you GET to heaven?
It was originally part of a marketing campaign called #AnythingForHockey last October, but now Molson is keeping the rink a little longer until Sunday, February 7th. As of today., you get a group of 20 friends together and buy a session – . Each one and a half hour session is $2,000 and includes one hour of ice time, plus access to the Molson Canadian lounge. For details, visit www.rooftoprink.ca.
I don’t think it’s a full sized rink. And who knows what the ice is like because they can’t get a zamboni up there. But it’s on a roof. There aren’t a lot of sports you can play on a roof. Golf doesn’t work, or tennis. Forget football and baseball. No. All you can play on a roof is hockey and hard to get.
