You may have already heard that Carlos Santana is teaming up with the original band members of Santana including Greg Rolie and Neil Schon to record a new record they’ve called Santana IV featuring “the band that burst with the same unparalleled energy and superlative musicianship that made Santana a pioneering force in world music and a household name across the globe”, according to santana.com. The first single “Anywhere You Want To Go” to be released February 5th.
On the heels of this news and not as complete certainly is that Bad Company is working on a new album with Paul Rodgers. “It’s in the early stages…they got (sic) security on the doors to ensure no one hears a whisper. It would be their first album with original singer Paul Rodgers in nearly 35 years.
Guns N Roses, (who may just hype themselves out of a tour following Coachella with all the half truths and rumours going around), are reportedly looking for two “kidnapping bad ass chicks” for a new music video over there at the Casting Call Pro agency based in Britain. The band is looking for two females between the ages of 18 and 26 to appear in the video scheduled to shoot February 6th. But then again it could be a rumour or half truth and geesh wish we could believe that the most fun thing is that Axl Slash and Duff are making new music together again but that’s unconfirmed too.
Alice Coopers “Guillotine” is going to be auctioned off by the band’s original drummer Neil Smith. It’s a stunt guillotine used by Alice on stage. Neil’s also auctioning off the mirrored 18 piece Premier drum-kit Smith played on the Billion Dollar Babies tour.
