Maurice White Dead At 74
Yet more sadness from the world of entertainment with the news that Earth, Wind and Fire co-founder, Maurice White has died at the age of 74.
According to White’s brother, the musician passed away in his sleep on Thursday morning at his home in L.A.
He had been battling Parkinson’s disease for more than 20 years.
Earth, Wind & Fire were at the height of their fame in the 1970′s and 1980′s selling more than 90 million albums worldwide, with hits including ”September,” ”Shining Star,” ”That’s the Way of the World” and ”Reasons.”
The band also won six Grammys during their career and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
