Tourists Leave Baby Dolphin To Die For Selfies
So humanity just took a massive step backwards, like 10,000 years backwards.
A mob of tourists in Argentina passed around this baby dolphin, who was snatched from the water, just so they could take selfish selfies with it and then, with complete disregard, tossed it in the sand, leaving it to die of dehydration as their iPhone’s began dinging with “Like” notifications.
It’s also important to note that the “La Plata” or “Franciscana” dolphin is considered to be a vulnerable species.
Are selfies and Instagram likes really that important to people? Is this what technology, the internet was meant for?
People in 2016 seem so wrapped up in their fake selves, the “cooler” version of their life that is portrayed on social media, so much so that these tourists willing killed a baby dolphin for a god damn selfie and some “Likes.”
For what…? to feel validation by people you don’t even know on the internet?
Good for you, Good. For. You.
