This week on John Derringer’s List O Mania, the discussion revolved around celebrity swaps. After Donald Trump’s Super Tuesday victory, a storm of American celebrities claim they would rather reside up north.
The list includes, Alec Baldwin, Raven Symone , Rosie O’Donnell, Neve Campbell, Al Sharpton, and Whoopi Goldberg, among many.
However, Derringer believes in fair trade. If Canadians get American celebrities, then America should take a few of our undesirable Canadians.
Here are the Top 10 Canadian celebrities that should be shipped to America:
10. Howie Mandel
Howie Mandel is a Canadian comedian, actor, and host, best known for his Deal or No Deal gig. More recently, Mandel became a judge on America’s Got Talent.
I guess America can keep his ‘talents.’
For Derringer’s list, “you can agree or disagree, Howie Mandel is number 10.”
9. Anyone with the last name THICKE
Derringer theorizes that if you get rid of anyone with the last name Thicke, “we take care of father and son, and even wife.”
This one is most likely targeted towards, Alan Thicke and his son Robin Thicke.
Alan is a Canadian actor and songwriter, most famous for his role in Growing Pains. While son Robin is a well known musician with massive hits including worldwide controversial song “Blurred Lines.”
8. Sarah McLachlan
Sarah McLachlan is a Canadian singer-songwriter well known for her emotional ballads. That reason alone has earned her a one-way ticket to the United States of America.
Mclachlan’s ballads and emotional songs are a bit too cheesy/sad for Derringer’s liking. Of course you can agree to disagree, like Ryan does.
7. Fefe Dobson
Fefe Dobson is a Canadian singer-song writer.
She simply made the list because her name is fun to pronounce. Agreeable.
6. Caroline Rhea
The Canadian comedian, actress and host, is best known for her role in Sabrina the Teenage Witch and hosting The Biggest Loser.
The reason for her appearance on this list…not too sure. (Derringer’s reasons remain undisclosed)
5. Brendan Fraser
Brendan Fraser is a Canadian-American actor, most famous for his Hollywood films, including The Mummy trilogy, George of the Jungle and Journey to the Center of the Earth, among many.
The actor has been MIA for a while now, making his swap to America probably “inoffensive.”
4. James Cameron
James Cameron is a Canadian filmmaker, known for producing and directing some of the greatest films of all time.
For Derringer, Cameron comes off being a bit too “pretentious” for his liking.
We get it, you are amazing, thanks for Titanic.
3. Steven Cojocaru
Steven Cojocaru is a Canadian fashion critic, mainly seen on Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood.
Reason for being on the list: Possibly because he is Ellen DeGeneres‘s look-alike.
But that can’t be it, who doesn’t like Ellen, maybe we can have a swap, Ellen for Cojocaru.
2. Atom Egoyan
Atom Egoyan is a Canadian stage and film director, best known for his film Exotica and more recent feature called Remember.
Reason for stealing the number two spot: When refereeing to an Egonyan film, “I wouldn’t even know what ones called.”
Lets just leave it at that.
And the top spot goes to…
1. Nelly Furtado
“She just butchered our national anthem.”
