According to one of Brian Johnson’s friends he did. Comedian Jim Breuer a buddy of Brian Johnson, explains in a new Metal and Me podcast that perhaps the relationships between the band members isn’t one of a brotherhood but a business and Angus Young is calling the shots.
The podcast may have been removed since the story broke ( no trace of it online) but what he said is out there. Jim claimed that Brian Johnson sought a second opinion after being told by doctors to stop touring immediately for fear of total permanent hearing loss. It appears things may not have been as bad as first diagnosed but before he could let the band know according to Jim
“all his luggage that he ever toured with showed up in his driveway.” He also said Brian Johnson told him that “there’s been no calls” from anyone in the band — either to explain their decision or to simply check on his well-being — and said “I feel like I’ve been kicked to the curb.”
Rumour is the band is looking at having guest singers for the rest of the tour which Jim Breuer claims Brian Johnson calls “karaoke guest stars”.
The story continues check back for updates.
