St. Patrick’s Day is quickly coming up. Here are some ideas of what you can do to celebrate the day.
1. The Biggest and Last St. Paddy’s Day Party Ever at The Brunny
Sadly, The Brunny will be closing at the end of the month. Give it the good-bye it deserves by attending the Biggest and Last St. Paddy’s Day Party Ever. Enjoy live music and cheap beer on March 17th, starting at 5:00 PM.
2. Celebrate at St. Party’s Day
Carlsberg is hosting a St. Party’s Day event on Saturday, March 12th from noon until 2:00 AM. Tickets are around $15 and determine what your entry time slot is. Party it up at Brassaii Restaurant and Lounge for the event.
3. Drink at an Irish Pub
Many Irish pubs around the city are offering live music and dancing events. Don’t forget to try some green beer!
4. Go to Ceili Cottage
This restaurant, part of which was built in the 1880s, holds a full week of festivities leading up to St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy traditional Irish dancing and music, as well as Irish whiskey tastings.
5. Have Some Stew at Montgomery’s Inn
Celebrate the day with some Irish stew, fresh baked break and live music. Admission is $5 and there is a cash bar for the night.
6. Participate in a Run
Two major runs are happening in the city around St. Patrick’s Day. The Shamrock & Sneakers 4K Fun Run raises money for the Cabbagetown Youth Centre and the Achilles St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run and Walk gets you a ticket to have Irish stew at the Steam Whistle Brewery after the race.
7. Wee Tin Can at Linsmore Tavern
Enjoy some live music and do an Irish jig with the eight piece band, Wee Tin Can. Every year the Linsmore Tavern puts on a great show and celebration so it is sure to be a great time.
8. St. Patrick’s Day at Pawsway
Just because it is St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t mean you should leave your pet behind! Enjoy pet and kid friendly programming, all at no cost to you.
