This Is How Much It Will Cost You To See A Jays Game
The Blue Jays are back, hopefully to spark some much needed excitement again in the city of Toronto.
Toronto’s home opener will see Canada’s team take on the Boston Red Sox this Friday and thanks to a new info-graph released by Vocativ.com, we can see just how much it will cost to attend the usually sold-out event.
You might want to stash a little extra on the side… it’s going to get expensive. The Blue Jays are the 4th most expensive team to go see in Major League Baseball.
A typical night at the ball park for baseball fans usually includes two hot dogs, two beers, one parking spot and of course, the tickets themselves. Thanks to a study done by GoBankingRates.com, we now know that the average cost for this typical night at an MLB diamond is $77.92
According to the chart above, fans of teams like the Yankees, Cubs, Red Sox and yes Toronto fans, the Blue Jays too, value an average price of over $100 for a ticket to a home game.
We all know it’s ridiculously expensive being a Toronto sports fan and with the Blue Jays coming off a great season and the Raptors breaking season records, expect their ticket prices to continue to rise.
But that feeling in the city when we have a winning sports team… #PRICEless
If you ask me, I’d much rather spend my hard-earned money on watching a winning team, accompanied by the vibrant and hopeful crowd in the stadium, over watching our sad, sad hockey team… any day of the season.
