Killer Grilled Cheese
April marks National Grilled Cheese Month. Here are some great places around the city to grab this cheesy classic.
Located in Kensington Market, this eatery specializes in artisan grilled cheese sandwiches. Pick your sandwich based on city names, including the ‘Brooklyn’, which is made with ricotta, boccancini, Italian sausage, roasted tomatoes, chilli and basil.
Served on your choice of white or brown bread with white and classic cheddar cheese, this sandwich is topped with homemade mac ‘n cheese with either pulled pork or all-beef meatloaf. Top it all off with a homemade roasted garlic aioli to make the almost perfect grilled cheese.

Cheesy comfort foods are this restaurant’s specialty. Try the Pearisian, made with poached pear soaked in red wine, arugula, pancetta, blue cheese and brie. To celebrate this month, they have added three limited edition grilled cheese sandwiches to their menu.
This restaurant offers both an original and grilled brie cheese made with challah bread. Add bacon to your sandwich for only 75 cents extra.
With so many different options, how can you pick just one? We suggest the Bacon Avocado which features cheddar cheese, herb & garlic cream cheese, bacon smashed avocado, herbed tomatoes, red onion, spinach & chipotle aioli.
