Distracted Driving Week
Drivers are being reminded to follow the rules of the road as several police forces join forces to launch Canada Road Safety Week.
The OPP, together with Toronto police, Peel Regional Police and York Regional police will be targeting what they call the Big 4: impaired driving via drugs or alcohol, failure to use seat-belts, distracted and aggressive driving.
The goal is to make Canada’s roads the safest in the world.
Officers will be focusing on routes in and around the city, as well as Highways 427, 401, Gardiner Expressway and Don Valley Parkway.
