MTV is relaunching VH1 Classic as MTV Classic on Monday.
The new channel will focus on fan-favourite shows and music programming from the 1990s and early 2000s. It is fitting that MTV would rebrand one of its channels on the 35th anniversary of MTV hitting the airwaves.
After revisiting MTV’s debut on August 1, 1981, MTV Classic’s lineup will include MTV Unplugged, Total Request Live, Beavis and Butt-head, and The Real World, along with music videos from the 1980s to the early 2000s.
It sounds like a pretty cool channel–now all we need is it to become available in Canada. There’s no word yet when (or if) that’s happening.
