The City of Toronto wants the makers of Pokemon GO to stop making the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal a Pokemon stop.
They say the terminal is already congested in the summer months and they simply can’t handle the crowds.
The green space surrounding the Toronto Island departure point has around 6 Pokestops and gyms which have attracted large crowds.
This is causing significant challenges for ferry operators as 25,000 passengers use the terminal every day to get to and from Toronto Island.
The city has asked the app’s developer Niantic to remove or relocate the beacons.
