On August 28, the Ride for Karen event returns for it’s 15th year.
The annual charity bike ride will kick off in Markham, ON, and is a tribute to the life and legacy of Karen Tobias, who passed away in 2002 after a battle with breast cancer.
Each year, the ride attracts hundreds of cyclists looking to help those living with cancer and their families, while also conquering a physical challenge.
Over the last 15 years, the event has raised over $2.3 million, with 100% of the proceeds donated to help send children with cancer to camp.
The fully-supported cycling event features a century ride (160km), along with 100km and for the first time has introduced a 200km+ route!
This year, Ride for Karen is pleased to welcome former professional cyclist and New York Times bestselling author Tyler Hamilton to the milestone event.
