When is it ok to save a spot and when is it not?
Spot saving has become such an issue in Italy that authorities say they’re going to start handing out fines to those who are setting out umbrellas and chairs, sometimes overnight, to reserve a spot on the crowded beaches. Those who get caught leaving equipment or items that save a spot on the beach could receive a $220 fine from Italian coastguards.
Toronto beaches aren’t that packed but I’m sure you’ve experienced a similar situation when you go on vacation and people put a towel on a lounger and then leave for hours so they have a spot when they come back.
So, when is spot saving ok and when is it not?
