Charges may be laid against a mother of three kids who were found in a hot car in Milton.
Halton police say they got a call around 6:45 Wednesday night from a concerned citizen.
The person told police the vehicle was parked in full sunlight in an “expectant mother” parking space.
It was 32 degrees Celsius at the time, but felt closer to 40 with the humidity.
The car was not on and all four windows were rolled down about seven centimetres.
When police arrived on scene, they convinced one of the kids to unlock a door to get some air flowing through the car.
Eleven minutes after officers arrived, the mother returned and told police why she left the kids in the vehicle.
Police aren’t revealing what she told them and say they will go over video surveillance to determine how long the kids were left in the car and if charges should be laid.
The kids ranging in age from 4 to 12 were checked by paramedics and appeared to be fine.
