If you are spending the last long summer weekend in the city then you have lots of great events to choose from. A couple of Food Truck Events, Rib Fests and of course it’s the last week of the CNE so look to the skies and listen for the sounds of the annual air show.

Enjoy a nine hour long Urban Music festival with stars like Karl Wolf and August Rigo. Admission is free.

The 17th annual Toronto International Buskerfest For Epilepsy brings performers from all over the world. Enjoy fire eaters, jugglers, comedians, acrobats, puppeteers, and more all weekend long. Admission is free however buskers will pass around a hat after their performance so make sure you have cash on hand to show your appreciation.
Harbourfront Centre, September 3rd-5th
North America’s largest Jewish cultural festival comes to the shores of Lake Ontario with a 3 day event focusing on music, arts and culture. Admission is free.
Celebration Square Mississauga, September 3rd
Enjoy nostalgic beats from DJ Jazzy Jeff while enjoying the eats of over 20 different food trucks parked along the square. The night will cap off with a fireworks display. Admission is free.
CNE Grounds, September 3rd-5th
The closing weekend of The Ex always means one thing; the air show. Enjoy watching aerial performances by CF-18 Hornets, The Breitling Jet Team and the ever popular Snowbirds. Free with your CNE admission.
Downsview Park, September 2nd-5th
One of the two rib festivals this weekend, Downsview park will be featuring live music, family friendly activities and of course lots of BBQ. Admission is $2 for the day, $5 if you arrive after 7pm.
Metro Convention Center, September 1st-4th
Canada’s largest anime, gaming, sci-fi, horror and comics event is bringing in the big guns this year. Check out the original Batman and Robin; Adam West and Burt Ward, as well as heavyweights Bill Shatner and Stan Lee. Stars from some of your favourite TV shows (Game of Thrones, Walking Dead) and movies (Back to the Future) will also be on hand. Tickets start from $20.
Mel Lastman Square, September 2nd-5th
Celebrate all things Spanish and Latin American with food, dance, music and culture at Hispanic Fiesta. Admission is free.
