If you have a hankering to toss an axe or knives to blow off some steam, you can now do so in the city, in a controlled environment.
A new target range is celebrating its grand opening at Dundas and River Streets, on Thursday.
This is the second location of Stryke Target Range, which is currently based in Brampton.
Archery and air guns are also available on site.
Meantime, one councilor isn’t exactly thrilled about this new business opening in her ward.
Pam McConnell says there should have been more consultation within the community. She tells the Toronto Star:
“It’s a community in transition. It’s recovering from decades of violence and anti-social activities and is really coming into its own as a healthy community. I understand that it isn’t a business that necessarily promotes violence or any of those things . . . but it’s not very good way to come into a neighbourhood without at least talking to some of the neighbours.”
