Walk off the Earth caused some controversy with their performance of O’Canada at last night’s final game of the World Cup of Hockey.
The Canadian band was scolded on social media for a lyric change in our national anthem.
The band sang ”in all of us command” instead of ‘‘in all thy sons command.”
In defense, the band shot back on Twitter, replying “all of us command” is actually the original lyric of the song for when it was written in 1908:
Seriously dude?! It's not the 1950's. Take your close-minded issues up with the forward-thinkers who run our great country. https://t.co/sFVn4sdwJC— Walk off the Earth (@WalkOffTheEarth) September 30, 2016
