Tragically Hip fans can vote for a set of lyrics they think should be engraved on a commemorative stone to be placed in their hometown of Kingston, Ontario. Following suggestions from the public, Kingston’s city council have decided to have a stone engraved to remember the final Hip show at Springer Market Square where no less than 25 thousand fans gathered to see it on August 20th 2016. The lyrics to vote on are “everybody was in it from miles around” from “Blow At High Dough” and “We danced the sidewalk clean…” from “New Orleans Is Sinking”. There is a two question survey found here—> www.CityofKingston.ca/GetInvolved or by calling 613-546-0000. You have until October 12th.
