With winter just around the corner, businesses are now starting to bring out their holiday decorations and in the case of coffee chains, their holiday cups.
With political correctness on the rise, whether it be the left or right, someone was going to get pissed at Starbucks for whatever they decided to do with their holiday cups for the 2016 season.
As of November 1, the coffee mogul is now serving your morning joe in a new green cup.
What some say is hard to call a “holiday cup,” never mind Christmas cup, the green “Unity Cup” features a mosaic of faces from all walks of life, drinking coffee and chatting.
It was created by Seattle-based graphic designer Shogo Ota.
The design is meant to be a “reminder of our shared values,” according to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.
A spokeswoman with the caffeine behemoth would not confirm if there were other holiday cup design that would be unveiled further in to the season as the company’s holiday plans are “still under wraps.”
